Prayer Concerns One of the significant responsibilities placed upon those who have been led to faith is the calling to pray for one another and the world. Many places in the New Testament lift up this summons to prayer: “Devote yourselves to prayer; keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2 “Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18 “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I Thessalonians 5:16-18 As part of our unity in Christ Jesus, as well as the practice of our Christian discipleship, we lift up the following in prayer, “as our prayers rise before God as incense.” DJ Rusincovitch |
